Become a Volunteer & Make a Difference!

The Fresno County Public Library (FCPL) Volunteer Program has a variety of volunteer opportunities that help meet the needs of our Library system and the communities we serve. FCPL includes the Central Library and 34 branch libraries throughout Fresno County in both urban and rural settings.

FCPL’s Volunteer Services supports the Library’s programming, services, activities and special programs. With limited resources, we appreciate the support of the volunteers who help enhance the library experience for Fresno County residents. If you are interested in becoming a Library Volunteer please see the information below.

Who can volunteer? Teens, middle school age, adults and families with various skills, interests and abilities can all support the Library as volunteers. Loving the Library is a must and an outgoing personality is desired.

What volunteer activities are available? Library programs with volunteer opportunities vary from time to time, depending on the time of year. On-going volunteer opportunities are listed below. At the time you apply, you will receive additional information on current available options.
